Sin Covered? Is that all?

Today I went to the Korean Church in City,

and they were talked about Genesis 9:18-25

After Noah came out of ark, he was relexed (This time is most careful time for all the believers)

Noah was drunk and take off his clothes,

and Ham (Father of Canaan) saw him naked and he told his two brother outside,
(Are we doing this to other people?)

but Shem and Japheth covered their father's nakedness.
(Or are we doing this to others?)

- Ham had problem in sexual sins. Person who has hurt by someone or something,

when the person sees other person who has same sin who can not forgive them

like Ham could not accept Noah's Sinning.

But Shem and Japheth covered his father's nakedness. (Like LORD forgave us)

We don't cleansed by ourself, we cleansed by BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST,

We do traped by the things when we don't forgive.

Col 3:13
" Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you. "

and Ham haven't asked forgiveness to GOD so their parents were cursed,

Our cursed is from older generation, JESUS stoped all the curse from parents.

Who are we trying to be like? Ham or Shem?

Check our heart am I angry about someone's behaviour or any talk stirs your anger?

Is that my problem that I have now? Praise GOD!

GOD gave us the chance to find our sins.

Let's Clothe ourselves (Compassion, Kindness, Humility, Gentleness and Patience)
- Col 3:12

and Grow our Fruits of the Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control) - Gal 5:22,23

Sins can't come into our life because of these fruits and clothes.

Sins can comes in easily when we don't have much of these.

Let's allow Holy Spirit to Lead Us and Grow more Fruits to cover our spiritual life.

GOD BLESS ALL

How bold is your prayer life?

Mark 11:20-33

Jesus, our example for prayer, once prayed, "Everything is possible... Yet I want your will, not mine" (Mark 14:36). Often we pray, we are motivated by our own interests and desires. We like to hear that we can have anything. But Jesus prayed with God's interests in mind. When we pray, we are to express our desires, but we should want his will above ours. Check yourself to see if your prayers are focusing on your interests or on God's. - The Best of the Bible (1996)

Position, Position, Position

Hey MannainHeaven,

Wow... my first blog ever!!! Yay!
Anyhow, was wanting to post something for all of you to ponder about for cell tomorrow nite and apply it to our lives. The main topic for discussion tomorrow nite is on positions and strategies, like when we play strategy games, plan of attack for assignments and exams (similar to what most of us will be tackling with now) and positions at work and strategies to move forward/upward at work. Some of the characters we can think of in the bible that were in such positions were;
  • David when he killed Goliath,
  • Elish when he was under Elijah,
  • The parable of the ten virgins in Matt 25
  • The Israelites in Numbers 13-14 and the second generation that made it into the Promised Land.

For example, what are the thoughts/preparation that you might have when tackling such positions in your life, or what are the processes that you might adapt to succeed, what beliefs do you hold on to in the process of succeeding.

Anyways, this is really cool! But just in case if some of you can't check the blogs, will be forwarding this to your emails as well, for thos who do get on the blog, apologies for doubling up.

Now time to hit the sack now for me... will see you guys tomorrow.. God bless and have an good rest!

Good nite!

Who has noticed light in your life recently?

Jesus criticized the Pharisees harshly because they washed their hands but not their hearts, remembered to tithe but forgot justice, loved people's praise, made impossible religious demands, and would not accept the truth about Jesus and prevented others from believing as well. They went wrong by focusing on outward appearances and ignoring the inner condition of their hearts. We do the same when our service is motivated by a desire to be seen rather than by a pure heart and love for others. Others may be fooled, but God isn't. Don't be a Christian on the outside only. Bring your inner life under God's control; then your outer life will naturally reflect him. - LUKE 11:33-54 Interpret from The Best of the Bible (1996)

I forgoten JESUS.

I was depressed by Sins, I was keep looking at my Sins, I didn't look at what JESUS has done.

I forgoten JESUS for 4 Months Time, and 7 days ago I found JESUS again.

My first time found JESUS was 2 years ago, I was so happy to tell the others but 2 years later, I became control of myself. I was controled by emotions not by Holy spirit.

I was start to look at the problems rather than the problem solver (JESUS).

I was completely forgoten what he has done for us, that he cleaned our Sins not only that
he is living in us. He is Life.

After I found he is in us. I became nothing but JESUS he is.

We can't but JESUS you can.

I found I never can be Righteous, Only JESUS he is Righteous.
But he is in Us, There is battle going on every day.
Putting down self and putting JESUS up.

JESUS IS ONLY OUR SAVIOUR.

JESUS IS KEY FOR ALL THE PROBLEMS.

JESUS IS LIFE CHANGER.

JESUS IS OUR LORD.

JESUS IS PROVIDER.

WE PRAISE JESUS TO THE SKIES.

I AM NOTHING BUT YOU ARE EVERYTHING.

Work life

Hi guys,

I've started my work from Monday. People are so friendly and supportive.
I don't feel any isolation from other colleagues even though I've only been there for 2 days.
Today I went out for lunch with the team to Yum Cha. This reminded me of having Yum Cha with you guys in Brisbane. Miss ya all~

I've decided to invest my time and money to learn guitar properly by ordering an interactive guitar lesson software today. I wish I can play better just like June play keyboard very well. I'll one day play those Korean drama theme songs with better sound to let you guys hear.

Cheers,

Daniel

Our Father said...

I said it is impossible...
He said "What is impossible from your perspective is possible with me." (Luke 18:27)

I said I am too tired...
He said "Come to me...I will give you rest." (Mark 11:28-30)

I said nobody loves me...
He said "I have loved you even as the Father has loved me." (John 15:9)

I said I am not good enough...
He said "My gracious favour is all you need." (2Cor 12:9)

I said I don't know what to do...
He said "I will direct your paths." (Prov 3:6)

I said I cannot forgive myself...
He said "I will forgive you and cleanse you from every wrong." (1John 1:9)

I said I'm so worried & frustrated...
He said "Give me all your worries, I will care about what happens to you." (1Peter 5:7)

I said I am all alone...
He said "I will never fail you. I will never forsake you." (Heb 13:5)

Thank you Lord for your grace and guidance.
Greater is the Lord who is in us than he who is in the world.
Because of you, I boldly declare we are more than conquerors!!
In Jesus mighty name, I pray. Amen.

praise Him

it's lovely to see more people participating in this blog. just wanted to share a verse in the Bible which speaks out to me this morning:

" Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name;
make known among the nations what He has done.
Sing to Him, sing praise to Him;
tell of all His wonderful acts.
Glory in His holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Look to the Lord and His strength;
seek His face always.
Remember the wonders He has done,
His miracles, and the judgements He pronounced,
O descendants of Israel His servant,
O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones."
-1 Chronicles 16:8-12-

i was just thinking about how there's a tendency for us, or at least or me, to focus too much on our own troubles and worries sometimes that we fail to see the good things which He has granted us in our lives. so it's always good to pause for a little while and just reflect on how He has been faithful and will always be when we come before Him with troubled hearts. only then will we find joy in surrender. because He reigns over all things in our lives.
Glad you're doing ok there Daniel!

All the best in your work as you start next week, let us know how it goes!

We all miss you over here...:P

Wanted to upload our karaoke video but blogger isn't working.

Here's wishing everyone a good week ahead...may God continue to put His fire in our hearts!

Sydney!

Hello Manna from heaven (is this now official name?),

This blog looks much simpler than the previous one..thanks Shun Wei for making it happened.
It's great to hear that the cell meeting went well....surely God has put his eyes upon our cell. It's a fresh new season with a few new members...I am very excited that God has already begun his work on each one of you so don't be discouraged about people leaving but trust only the Lord as he will make this cell to grow and to be fruitful abundantly. The Lord will provide just like he fed Isralites in the wilderness with Manna from heaven

To tell my story here in Sydney, I have settled down at a house that is about 15km from the Sydney CBD. Unlike my first impression of Sydney a few years ago, I pretty like it after I visited a few nice places. It would be much fun if you're all here with me. I am starting my work on Monday next week. I am very excited and have a great expectation with it. I've already met my manager and she bought me a lunch. God's favour already begun even before my work starts. Pray for me so that I can follow well with the new job and new people and that I can find a good church where I can be planted and continue to flourish.

Love,

Daniel

The next time you feel like God can't use you, remember the following people:

JACOB was a liar.
LEAH was ugly.
JOSEPH was abused.
MOSES couldn't talk.
GIDEON was afraid.
SAMPSON had long hair & was a womanizer.
RAHAB was a prostitute.
JEREMIAH and TIMOTHY were too young.
DAVID had an affair & was a murderer.
ELIJAH was suicidal.
ISAIAH preached naked.
JONAH ran from God.
NAOMI was a widow.
JOB went bankrupt.
JOHN the Baptist ate bugs.
PETER denied Christ.
THE DISCIPLES fell asleep while praying.
MARTHA worried about everything.
MARY MAGDALENE was demon possessed.
The SAMARITAN WOMAN was divorced more than once.
ZACCHEUS was too small.
PAUL was too religious.
TIMOTHY had an ulcer.
AND LAZARUS WAS DEAD.

NO MORE EXCUSES
Our God raises a nobody to a somebody.

For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. (Phil 4:13)

a fresh beginning

hmm...a new blog for our cell. hopefully this will be easier to navigate than the last. i guess it's hard to always pen down your thoughts, put them into words that make sense and not make you laugh at yourself when you next look back at it. but i guess it's alright for everyone to write whatever that comes into mind, right here, in this blog. because that's what a family is for. to be open and honest about what you think and feel, without concealment or disguises.

i am thinking and writing alot more nowadays because i feel a need to start ordering my thoughts in the mad pace of life that we have a tendency to fall into. at least, that's what i feel as an overseas student. but i do feel that sometimes, it's really hard to even sit still to reflect upon things that matter to your heart because the real world and your heart are like two continents, two places, two unknowns that you are trying to make sense of. and in between the straddling of these two lands, you might wonder to yourself if you have even made an imprintment of your footsteps on any.

anyways, before i start writing "emo" (emotional) stuff, i just want to say that i am really glad that our cell went well last night for the first session after daniel left. not that you are any less important daniel, but that i believe it is a sign that God has His eyes upon our cell and He intends to help our cell grow and mature, with new dimensions and new perspectives in this season of trials and tests.

so let us continue to keep each other in our prayers:
for ellie- to cope well with her uni work and do well in her assignments
for june-favour with her clinical educator and doing well in her clinical placements
for grace-opportunities to go church and to be restful and still so that she can spend more time with God
for eunice-refreshment of the mind and sustenance for her body when she does night shifts and for favour and patience and endurance in difficult clinical situations in her training
for peter-opportunities to speak to more non-believers and to be a good testimony for Christ
for mingji- to be able to learn English well and to use the language to express herself and to help her grow in Christ as a new Christian
for alison- recovery from her illness and the replenishment of energy to be her usual bubbly self
for dave- favour in his work and for time to seek God, rest and enjoy life with alison:)
for daniel-favour in his new job and to be planted in a good church in sydney with people who will watch out for him and encourage him to continue to grow in Christ
for jared- favour in his work and for time to relax, cook, eat and of course, enjoying time with God, friends and family
